wtf? 1080p is perfect for 22'-24'', i played games on my 50'' 1080p plasma but at a distance of 2m and you know what? it is great but 4K should be at least for 40'' if not even smaller TVs. I would love let's say 30'' LCD with 4K resolution for gaming because i would sit less than 1m away from it :)
Damn, i had i7 Bloomfield and 9800 GT in Dec '08 custom built :D pretty much same thoughts here, but i wonder how many years till consumers and non hardcore gamers will be able to buy 4K LCDs for less than 400€...
there is no such a graphic card 2 support 4k yet, and nah u don't need a monster pc, i7 1st generation and anything upward 9 series nvidia gpu will show smooth 4k.
Would make a sick pc monitor 4K and glasses free 3D and only 11,000 dollars shouldn't be to much longer before they get these down to more affordable 2000-4000 dollars.
1080p is good, but it's already showing its limits, not in movies so much but in games! . 40-46" and down is ok for 1080p anything above that would be great for 4k .
