I have a Emerson model LC320EM1F no stand by lights or anything I unplug the inverter board when tv is unplugged I go to plug it back in and can see a flash from the socket in the board . Could this be a bad inverter board ?
ReplyDeleteI have at least 25 videos of TV repair advice at TV REPAIR INFO . COM
ReplyDeleteMy Coby 40 inch LCD HD TV doesn't turn on for some reason. The standby blue light is on as normal, and when I turn the power on it turns brighter, which it normally does, but then it shuts itself off again, going back to the normal standby light. Is this a cap problem? It may have short circuited, because there was a pretty bad thunderstorm the other day and a lot of lightning was flashing near my house. Any advice for this?
ReplyDeletethanks for the the reply, i looked up the main board for my tv, and it has the inputs connected to it. { i believe my tv has a PS board, inverter board, t-con board, and the main/tuner board.} The tv is very watchable, the only inputs that work are component 2 and the av.
ReplyDeleteits just that it seems to be a brightness problem, the whites are very bright and sometimes you cant read the texts on the white background. im just trying to rule out other boards, before i replace the main/tuner board. thanks
I don't know about the color problem but it's not likely to be related to a bad tuner. In regards to your HDMI jacks going out If your TV has a separate board with the input and output jacks replacing this board may fix your problem, but the lightning may have also effected the main board as well.
ReplyDeletehello sir, i have a question about my dynex 32 lcd tv. i had a lighting strike the other day that tripped the circuit breaker in my bedroom, ive lost the hdmi ports on the lcd. but one of the components and the av input work. however ive noticed that the color is off. sometimes too bright and vibrant. would this be a tuner/main board problem? im trying to elimanate other boards....power supply, inverter board, etc. thanks
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reply anyway...
ReplyDeleteI can't guess but it sounds like a possible display problem.
ReplyDeleteHi, I got an LCD TV with screen problem. The screen is like night vision or photo negative..could you please tell me what could be the problem.
ReplyDeleteIf you heated up the LCD display and the line went away it's mostly likely a bad display.
ReplyDeletemy sharp lc-32sh12u LCD Tv has vertical lines that appearfrom top to bottom. I have sound. I tried heating up it up and it worked got picture on tv for several days then turned it on and the lines re-appeared. No picture. I build displays and monitors etc. I have some experience but I do not know how to troubleshoot my problem.
ReplyDeleteyes, checker is a waste of money if you will just use it once... but its a must if you are a technician and you will use it most of the time...
ReplyDeleteIt's been my experience that the capacitors in the power supply are the first to go, although on some models they used higher grade capacitors. This being the case I don't see why replacing a few bad ones would be a bad investment. Even if the others fail at some point time you might still get Two or Three more years out of your TV.
ReplyDeleteMost H.D.T.V.s won't last long enough for the glue to go brown. The caps go just after warranty. Why waste the money on a checker when they'll all blow eventually anyhow ?
ReplyDeletehey i just got a 42 inch LG flat screen , i turned it on , and its fuzzy/ shaky in places

ReplyDeleteSucked in all the people who bought 3d with glassess tv's. This is the reason i didnt buy a 3d tv. say your friends come over and you want to watch a 3d movie and you only have like 2 glassess.
ReplyDeleteNuff Said
they already have that
ReplyDeleteyou dont need glasses the tv tricks your eyes into thinking that its 3d with the need for glasses
ReplyDelete0:12 What do you mean "without glasses"?
ReplyDeleteLooked good on my 2D monitor! maybe we just have to exaggerate the apparent 3rd perspective.
ReplyDeleteToshiba is AMAZING!!!
ReplyDeleteHR3D technology at MIT is so far beyond this.
ReplyDeleteWhat did Toshiba say they are using? Nine pictures of the scene? Nine! That's nothing.
@imdod, I'm not sure what to make of your comment. I'm guessing it's meant to say that distant memories are often wrong and that I'm waxing nostalgic about something that never existed. But the thing is, we STILL own conventional CRT TV's, so it's not like one has to rely on fuzzy memories to make the comparison. I wasn't talking about some standard from 50 years ago.
ReplyDeleteBy the way the grass used to be greener as well.
ReplyDeleteDear Santa...
ReplyDeleteНи одной газонокосилки не увидел )
ReplyDeletemaybe I'm weird, but I sooo don't care about all this 3D trend
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone remember the days when you'd watch a show or movie and you'd feel automatic, easy, simple comfort from it? Just warmth and coziness? That used to happen all the time.
ReplyDeleteBut think about now. Ever since you got your HD flatscreen with the contrasts amped up to screaming retina-burning levels and the digitally shot HD programming promising to "blow you away" with nonstop seizure-inducing insanity and corn syrup colors ... have you felt that same simple comfort since? Even once?
Those shots of the evergreen trees are case in point. Is this supposed to be a natural landscape we enjoy. Or is it a friggin scene from Speed Racer or Lazytown augmented with rubbing alcohol? Am I the only person around that doesn't have the mind of a dull child and who isn't so impressed with what amounts to shiney keys being jangled in front of our faces? Does anyone else remember when our moving images actually had some soul and warmth to them?
ReplyDeleteI'd be more excited over 3D if the images didn't look so hideously plastic, completely lacking warmth and soul. But I guess most people only care if something is shiny so they can show off their new home systems to their "homies."
ReplyDeletegot 3D red/blue glasses? then go to youP O R N dot com/3d and see!
ReplyDeletetrue :)))
ReplyDeleteif she's squirting that'll be awesome lol

ReplyDeletecool stuff. i wear prescription glasses and the main reason i was not interested in 3dtv is because of the required 3d glasses but this is more like it!
