Try adjusting the refresh rate of your HDMI output so that it matches the frame rate of the signal source (= the movie). You can do this in the video settings on your PC.

Hi, I have the same model TV as you and are happy except for one thing .... when I watch movies on it as I have connected from the PC to the TV (HDMI)
I get Jidder problems ....(image hack lagging)
Do you know how to get rid of this? or someone else? please help me
u Made me laugh by saying that i don't know anything about back or edge lit screens ... as if u r giving them aan excuse for the light leakage............the question is is't so hard to control edge light and prevent clouding
You don't know much about LED tv's, when they state, " edge and backlit" thats the lighting you will see when the screen is all black. When you have the picture, you will see an amazing pic on this tv set. Sony, and everyone else who manufactures corner lit LED TV's, will also produce this white ghosting as well. I have this unit and sony bravia XBR 9 led and it also does this
In Australia their AU$4699 (Includes Free delivery with-in Australia) from JB Hi-Fi for the UA55D8000 model.. so maybe 3-4k for the USA cause you guys usually get everything cheaper then us
well my story with Samsung is disappointing...............guys b4 u buy any TV ...try to watch it in a very dark room at an aspect of 4:3 to see how the edge light is set........I'm sure u will see annoying lights at corners and in the middle of the screen ...so don't b taken by design coz all wat u care is the pic quality..........Samsung u suck

I had that problem with a cheap-ass HDMI cable. Try a more expensive HDMI cable.
