Backlight Inverters and LED Driver Boards within Samsung LCD and LED TVs have similar functionality and share the same part numbering system. The Backlight Inverter is a part of your TV's Panel Assembly. The Backlight Inverter is mounted to the back of the Panel close to the left and or right edge, and is hidden under a metal or plastic cover. Some Panel Assemblies have multiple inverters, which will be named Master or Slave, depending on their location and function. Inverters are connected to the panel via small wires or lock into a series of small slot connections built into the panel. Like the Backlight Inverter, the LED Driver Board is also a part of your TV's Panel Assembly. It is typically centered on the back of the Panel, and is hidden under a metal or plastic cover. Samsung Backlight Inverters and LED Driver Boards are part-number specific, and do not require matching TV model number, serial number, or panel number in order to confirm compatibility. If the label found on the back of the panel begins with LT, then the Backlight Inverter(s) or LED Driver Board will be manufactured by Samsung, and is identified by using the following part number pattern: LJ97- followed by 5 numbers and 1 letter for a suffix(LJ97-#####[AZ]).
