  1. I've been using my computer as a TV for years. And I've been watching stuff from the Internet for over a decade.

  3. That dial had a channel 0 and channel 1 ! In NA those channels haven't been used in over 50 years.

Only the color sets had the RGB guns. B&W had only one gun.

The old sets aren't completely useless. You can use them with a digital to analogue converter or as a monitor with a VCR, DVD player or some game consoles.

The old sets are getting tossed right now, however if the set is old enough it could become a collectable in a decade or two. The problem is storing them for a couple decades.

  9. All CRT TV's will still work OK with a converter box, so if yout CRT TV has nothing wrong with it, then do NOT get ridd of it. By the time it is no good, then the new TV's will have come down in price.

You should also note that Plasma TVs give you brain tumors And can make you go blind, if you sit close enough, but you can sit as close as you want to a LCD or LED TV without it bothering you or harming you over short time exposure.

  17. @LigeGivesUsHope that's not 100% true, it still has some trouble with purple and also they cost like 6000% more expansive than a LED tv with the same size!
