  5. From everything I've read, Zworykin did not have a working iconoscope in 1923. So Farnsworth was the first to have a working tube in 1926 or so. But Zworykin's tube was sensitive enough for live pickup, Farnsworth's image dissector really wasn't because it had no storage capability.

Another Zworykin breakthrough was the kinescope. It made a large-screen TV set that was bright enough possible. The 2nd anode allowed wide-angle deflection of the beam before accelerating it to a high brightness.

  15. it's really no problem :). it's a good way to spread knowledge about a good band, and i consider youtubers who don't reply to their viewers (okay, unless they get like a hundred+ comments a day) to be kind-of rude. you're very welcome!

  17. no, it's left to right: (jerry) harrison, (david) byrne, (tina) weymouth, and (chris) frantz. the very first image in this video (title image) IS from talking heads: 77, it's something i scanned in, and the order left to right is weymouth, harrison, byrne, frantz. glad i could be of some help!

  18. Okay. I confess that I also do searches on the origin of this image. But until we get an answer, could you confirm, from left to right, the name of the musicians? I think they are Byrne, Frantz, Weymouth and Harrison.

  19. it's not actually packaged with an album as far as i'm concerned, but i'm pretty sure it's from the same photoshoot in which the pictures that appear with talking heads: 77 were taken. they look the same age and they're wearing the same clothes i think. as for where i got it, i think i just snatched it off google but i'm not sure. it's been a while. hope that helps!
