sonic youth are a bunch of hipsters. or more like the grandparents of all hipsters. Trilogy is great tho. But all the other Madonna-punk-plastic.statnism-bubbelgum-barbed wire ironic stuff just bores me.
ReplyDeleteI cannot (will not?) stop listening to this song
ReplyDeletethat part by 3.30 makes me shiver, its so goddamned beautiful it hurts
ReplyDeleteYeah that´s why they did Trilogy on Daydream nation...
ReplyDeleteTom Verlaine´s phrases on the guitar on this track is so beautiful that I could cry....
ReplyDeleteThat's why Sonic Youth love Television.
ReplyDeleteThis is my favourite track on this album... The whole album is great! ADVENTURE and MARQUEE MOON they have to be one of the finest couple of first two albums in rock and roll history for any band.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard this in decades. Thank you so much for posting it!
ReplyDelete"I saw you guys play at the Roxy on Sunset Stripe, in Hollywood. Great amazing guitar work. Tom & Richard Loyd were just excellent."
ReplyDeleteI do so LOVE this!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me "Lightning Song" written by Dave Catching for Queens of the Stone Age.
ReplyDeleteI love this song though.
Long afterlive Television !
This is Adventure's mini-epic, in the style of "Marquee Moon." Great, overlooked album.
ReplyDeleteHere lies a work of genius unrecognised ...
