    wow dumbass thats why you wait a year or two to buy your 3D TV the price cuts by 50% and it's pretty damn entertaining we have one at home and i've sat on those glasses guess what happen it hurt my butt and i put it on it didn't break

    the only way 3-d ever did well 8is in imax (which i love btw) and james camerons avatar that was filmed twice with both a 2d and 3d camera

    3D is a fucking gimmick. I don't like that shit it's not worth it. Youtube integrated 3D, Nintendo's handheld 3DS, Xbox/Ps3 games, Now it's on TV's and Phones. I hope it doesn't do well. Honestly 3D is way too gimmicky to buy into you have to a be complete idiot to buy a 3D tv right now they just aren't there yet. Maybe in 10-20 years if they keep pushing it but even then HD TV's are beast why would you want a TV that requires glasses lol LAME!!!

    I have seen some David Attenborough nature documentaries in 3D which were filmed entirely in 3D and they looked awesome, I think nature documentaries works great for 3D as you can use different filming techniques with them that you may not be able to in other tv shows or movies, but as you mentioned, 3D probably wouldn't be so good for mainstream movies or tv.

    3d is very beneficial for me because I have one eye that is weaker than the other. Watching 3d actually strengthens and stimulates my bad eye. I seen improvement since owning a 3d tv

    not many people like 3D anyway... seriously how many people just sit there and watch tv...

    most people are always doing something while watching TV, and who would want to be wearing a pair of glasses while cleaning, using the PC or even cooking...
