In this video The Samsung LN32C450E1D 720p LCD TV reads a 250gb external hard drive, plays HD movies and reads music files. It will also display photos, single or slide show, however you choose and you can upgrade the firmware for a much better viewing experience. It also has 3 HDMI ports, 3.5mm Audio in and out, Optical Audio, EX link, Component, AV, Coaxial, VGA monitor port and the USB port.... GREAT TV!!!!!!!!!

well it reads 1080p HD movies just fine once you update the firmware so you wont get any delay between audio and video. the blu ray on the other hand is a bit more difficult because some of the TVs don't have a supported codec to play the blu ray files. i tried playing a blu ray movie that was 33gb but it said that it doesn't have any supported video codec :( you can try it, got nothing to loose. you wont damage the TV if it can't play it it'll just say so. good luck.

ReplyDeletecan you watch a 10gb bluray movie that is saved on your external hard drive? because i bought a Samsung Series 5 LA40C550 im just not sure if it will read the until the movie is finished.
