Repairing my vizio tv-power problem
My vizio 32 inch LCD just shut off while watching it and wouldn't turn back on. It was the power fuse that burnt out, I'll show you how to fix it.

ReplyDeletewtf? no lol, im from ukraine
ReplyDeletemy turns on but only shows VIZIO logo and nothing else happens
ReplyDeletethanks for posting. i was looking at the completely wrong thing for the fuse. way cheaper than a new tv.
ReplyDeletemine was aslow blow fuse. we had a bad storm and 3 days later it blew.
ReplyDeleteFirst off good job.....second off you didn't replace it with a slow blow. And failed to tell people if you accidentally hit one of the caps you could kill yourself or risk severe electric Burns. Anyone who reads this....please use extreme caution and the proper rated fuses. Or leave it to the professional that knows what there doing.
ReplyDeleteFYI for VIZIO model #VL370M the fuse is located by the power plug. It reads "T 5A H 250V". Replace this and that should help. I just did it on and fixed my TV.
ReplyDeleteAlso get a "slow-blow" fuse. It will look like it has paper in covering the middle of the fuse.
I have the same problem any suggestions.please let me know if you find the problem Thanks Toni
ReplyDelete250v fuse but what amp?
ReplyDeleteUse a small flat head under one side and just flip up. I just did it and it popped right out. Mine is also white like his video shows. I'm about to attempt to replace and see if that fixes it. Great help! Thanks!
ReplyDeletehow did yu take off the fuse?
ReplyDeletegood job with the video. thanks for being helpful.
ReplyDeleteWhen I turn on my vizio it won't work..the vizio light will light up white like it's on but nothing else works. Do u know what's wrong.
ReplyDeletehey mrGeewray. did you get your tv fixed? if so what was the problem? mine is doing the same
ReplyDeleteFYI those white fuses are usually a slow-blow fuse used in circuits that might have a sudden spike, to prevent them from blowing prematurely. The one you replaced it with did not look like a slow-blow fuse.
ReplyDeleteBTW you should be super careful poking around in electronics power supplies, as the capacitors in there can hold a charge for hours or even days after the set was turned off, and depending on the circuit the charge could hurt or even kill you.
i got a vizio tv that turns on it stays at the startup screen it wont do nothing else i cant watch tv and i cant turn it off
ReplyDeleteI have a 50'' vizio that just shuts off on its own ones or twice a day, can anyone tell me what is the problem.
ReplyDeleteI just got a vizio, first time I turned it on worked fine. Went to work got home hit the power and nothing! The vizio light is orange. I dont know if thats normal. Anything?
