Agency

Agency - tv

Agency

Canada (1980) A mysterious millionaire buys an ad agency and begins to replace its employees with his own people, who don't appear to be advertising types at all. A copywriter begins to suspect that the man isn't interested in selling products as much as he is in inserting his own sinister political beliefs into the commercials the agency runs on TV in order to subliminally brainwash an unsuspecting public into supporting the causes and candidates he wants them to. When the copywriter confides his suspicions to a friend and soon afterwards is mysteriously killed, his friend begins his own investigation.

  7. Another really good movie about the media. Although the sinister aspect is less, and the movie is a comedy, still 'Wag the dog' is a good movie about elections and media lies. 1997.

  8. Ya it is. And that movie and the techniques were 30+ years ago, imagine what they can do now. That probably I instinctively dislike most television and most movies.

  13. very enlightening though the concept of subliminal messaging has been around for over 60+ years and then some. i just wish that the 80 percent who are and have been brainwashed over the years would be able or are able to digest what is true and what is false in govt main stream medias. remember citizen cain.

  15. I went to Sheridan College in Oakville in the early 90's, Paul Gottlieb, writer of the novel this movie is based on, was my program director. He was an awesome guy.

  22. What couldn't they do, and make us feel it was ok? Who couldn't they criminalize. Simple as black and white, fear and love, left and right, divide and conquer. And who wants to admit they don't have control of their own mind, which would have to be any ones argument.

  40. I love snakes and for the last few years I have been begging my mom to get a snake. (She has a fear of snakes, so I have no idea why I'm trying.) But a few videos back, I've seen a beautiful snake that I ABSOLUTLY want. It was the clear blue eyed leucistic ball python. I'm majorly in love and very depressed that I can't have one until I move out of my house. I admire what you guys do! And I hope to get my future snake from you guys!
